Wayne Douglas
St. Matthew Head Usher
I am a 2nd Generation to be born in Arizona and the 4th generation of my family to live in Arizona. I was born in Tucson and grew up in Glendale. I attended University of Arizona and then went into the Air Force Pilot training program at Williams Air Force Base (now Williams Gateway airport). In 1974 my wife Sue and I moved to Tempe to be close to all of the activities that we like to do, including attending St. Matthew. We started going to St. Matthew when it was meeting at MCC and helped to develop the church site we are at today. I would like to see St. Matthew become revitalized and more people become involved in the church. I have participated in the life of church in many ways, chair person for the Mingus Mountain Family camps, Trustee, Lay leader to Annual conference, building fund treasurer, MYF youth counselor, adult Sunday school teacher, and I have ushered for 40 years! I enjoy Arizona history, genealogy, photography and the only continents that I have not been too are Antarctica and Australia.
