Melissa 1513 300x300pxMeet Melissa Dey!
She was born and raised in Arizona and has been coming to St. Matthew UMC for as long she can remember! She loves Arizona winters because it’s always beautiful and is by far worth waiting through the summers. She also loves how dramatic the weather can be, as well as loving the friendships that she has made at St. Matthew.

Growing up at St. Matthew gave her many opportunities as a young person to participate in the life of the church, she was in Youth choir, Bells of Joy Hand Bell choir and the Hands of Praise Sign Language choir and UMYF. These experiences helped her to make lifelong friendships and is one of the reasons that she has stayed at St. Matthew.

She would love to see more younger adults attend our church. Being a full time student did not allow her time to participate in the church as much as she would have liked to.

She has recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with a nursing degree and is currently working at Banner Baywood hospital on their orthopedics floor. She finds the work very rewarding and is blessed to have found such a great job right after graduation.
