Jim Fountain, Certified Lay Leader, joined St. Matthew in 1990.  He has been married to Donna for 36 years and they have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren.  Jim retired from full time work in 2003 following 31 years as a high school drama and speech teacher.  After early retirement he completed the candidacy process to become a Local Pastor and attended two years of pastoral school. He served for three years as Director of Nurture and Outreach at Chandler United Methodist Church.  Last year he became one of the first Certified Lay Ministers in our conference and was appointed by the District Superintendent to serve St. Matthew.   He is also currently working part time as Chair of Fine Arts and Theatre teacher at Perry High School in
Chandler.
