The Helping Hands Ministry serves as the hands of Christ through the hands of its members. Our mission is to enable everyone who dreams of an active, caring, Christian community in which people help and nurture one another through compassion and the outreaching of the love of Jesus Christ. We are responsible to God, St. Matthew, and the pastors. Our ministry is to provide care to anyone needing short-term assistance (emergency meals during an illness or bereavement, transportation to church or for medical appointments, phone visits and home visits, holiday flowers and cards, DVD and Blu-ray videos of the worship service, etc.). The prayer tree (a method for communicating prayer requests) is also organized and maintained by a team of Helping Hands coordinators. Helping Hands members have a love for God, a love for self, and a desire to reach out to those in need. All that’s required to serve with us is the compassion to reach out to those in need and the ability to be objective in any given situation. Helping Hands meets on the 1st Saturday of each Month at 9 a.m. For more information, or if you need help, .
