UMW, a separate entity of the United Methodist Church, is focused on world-wide ministries with women, children, and youth. Mission initiatives include providing opportunities to grow spiritually, equipping women and girls to be leaders, providing transformative educational experiences, organizing for growth and flexibility, and working for justice through service and advocacy.
At St. Matthew, UMW is involved in many various activities and programs. To cite a couple – the annual Mother and Daughter Luncheon is always a sellout, and the annual UMW retreat is always a great time for all.
UMW meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, September through May, at 7:00 p.m. in the Activity Center.
Usually in December the UMW also sponsors and hosts a Craft Fair at the church; this is one of the primary fund-raisers for the UMW. For more information, please visit the Craft Fair link.
