Our Christmas concert at St. Matthew will be on Sunday, December 20, at 3:00 p.m.  The concert is free and thoroughly interpreted in sign language and in English.  The music will be prerecorded music by professional artists; the choir will perform live signing interpretations of the songs.  Come see (or hear) modern Christmas songs with a few old favorites.  All people and service animals are welcome! You do not need to know any sign language to appreciate this beautiful concert.

The Hands of Joy Sign Language Choir meets Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel, located in the Worship Center. Hands of Joy is an ecumenical, inter-generational choir that performs by invitation around Arizona.  Visitors are warmly welcomed; members of the choir do not need to belong to the church, and no knowledge of sign language is necessary to come to rehearsals.  This is a great way to learn signs in a loving atmosphere. For more information about the Hands of Joy Sign Language Choir, please .

The Hands of Praise Youth Sign Language Choir meets Mondays 6:00 p.m. in rooms D23-24. Hands of Praise is a beginning sign language choir for children and youth. The members learn sign language and performance skills in a fun environment, performing in worship services, at other church events, and at other churches. All children and youth (ages 8 and up) are encouraged to join.  For more information about the Hands of Praise Youth Sign Language Choir, please .

Sign language interpretation: All of St. Matthew’s services include sign language interpretation provided by a volunteer from the congregation. FM assistive listening devices (Williams Sound receivers) are available at all events in the Worship Center.  Words for all congregational prayers and songs are displayed on a screen in each service.  Large-print bulletins are also available at the 9:00 a.m. traditional service.

Upon request, a volunteer interpreter can be available for Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and church meetings during the week.  Please a week in advance if you would like an interpreter.
